Navigating the GoldSim Wiki
All GoldSim Wiki pages are linked or cross-referenced and you can simply navigate through related pages using hyperlinks in a page. Most GoldSim Wiki pages also include "See Also", "Other Resources" or "Related Model Library article" sections. You may navigate through related topics of your interest by following these links.
Understanding the structure of the GoldSim Wiki will help you navigate the GoldSim Wiki better. Please read
about the GoldSim Wiki first if you have not done so.
Basic Navigation
Using Navigation Box on the Left
- Main Page
You can always go back to the Main Page by clicking "Main Page" link. If you are in a Namespace other than the Root Namespace, you should see two Main Page links: Main Page for the Namespace that you are in and the main Page for the Root Namespace. - Random Page
If you do not know where to start in GoldSim Wiki or you're simply curious about GoldSim modeling, click "Random Page" to jump to a page randomly chosen by GoldSim Wiki. It should take you always to different pages. - All Pages
This link will take you to a list of all pages within the Namespace that you are in. - Categories
This takes you to a list of all Categories that exists in the Namespace. Clicking the name of a Category will take you to a list of articles within the Category. - Navigation Path
This is currently under development, and will provide a "guided tour" through the Wiki.
Namespace Dropdown Box
At the top of every page, you should find a Namespace dropdown box. This tells you the Namespace you are currently in and can be used to navigate to different Namespaces.
Navigation using Categories
Main Pages for each Namespace include either a list of all Categories or a Category cloud that looks like this:
Contaminant Transport Engineered Systems Engineering Risk and Reliability General Interest GoldSim Element GoldSim Version GoldSim Wiki Help Icons and Images User Conference Water Resources This is a list of all existing Categories within a Namespace, and the font sizes are proportional to the number of pages under the Category. Clicking a name of a Category will take you to a list of Wiki pages under that Category.
Navigation using Search
The left side Navigation box includes a global search box at the bottom. Typing in a keyword and hitting enter will search contents and attachments of GoldSim Wiki pages in all Namespaces.
The search result page will also include options to narrow the search to particular Namespaces or Categories.
Browse Through Recently Updated Articles
There are "RSS" buttons on top of the Navigation Box. These buttons are for subscribing to Update Notifications for the entire GoldSim Wiki. Even without subscribing, you can see a list of recently updated Wiki pages by clicking the RSS button.
Note that you can also subscribe for updates on each individual Wiki page. An RSS link for this can be found in the upper right-hand corner of the page, directly under the page title.
