Shortcut Keys
GoldSim provides variety of keyboard support.
Basic operations
- F2: Open Simulation Settings dialog
- F4: Go to Edit Mode
- F5: Run model
- F6: Open the browser view window
- Ctrl + I: Show elements' Sub-items.
- F8: Open Resource Manager
- F9: Update expression
- F10: View the Causality Sequence
- F11: View the model in a full screen
- ESC: Leave Full Screen view
- Ctrl + H: Turn with Filter on and off
- Ctrl + M: Open the Module Option dialog
- ESC: Close the flash screen when GoldSim opens
- Ctrl + N: Open a new model
- Ctrl + Z: Undo
- Ctrl + Y: Redo
- Ctrl + F: Search elements by name
- Ctrl-Shift-N: Turn the Note pane on and off
Editing Elements' Properties
- Alt-Enter: Open the Properties dialog
- Ctrl + M: Open the Context Menu from an input field.
- Ctrl + I: Open the Insert Link browser window with from an input field.
- CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+F12: Edit Random Number Seed for Stochastic elements
Inputing Currency Units
- Ctrl + d: Input "$" in the unit or expression input field.
- Ctrl + e: Input "EUR" in the unit or expression input field.
- Ctrl + p: Input "GBP" in the unit or expression input field.
- Ctrl + y: Input "YEN" in the unit or expression input field.
Editing Elements' Appearance
- Ctrl-Left: Change the width of the element image (narrower)
- Ctrl-Right: Change the width of the element image (wider)
- Ctrl-Up: Change the height of the element image (shorter)
- Ctrl-Down: Change the height of the element image (longer)
Editing Tables
- Ctrl + A: Select the entire table
- Ctrl + C: Copy
- Ctrl + V: Paste
- Ctrl + Shift + S: Open the Table Result Display Precision
Editing Distribution Table (Cumulative Distribution, Discrete)
- Ctrl + Enter: Creates a new row below the cursor
- Ctrl+Shift+Enter: Creates a new row above the cursor
- Ctrl+Backspace: Deletes the current row
Editing Dashboard
- Ctrl-Left: Change the width of the element image (narrower)
- Ctrl-Right: Change the width of the element image (wider)
- Ctrl-Up: Change the height of the element image (shorter)
- Ctrl-Down: Change the height of the element image (longer)
Controlling Tab Order
- U: Move items up
- D: Move items down
- Alt-U, Ctrl-U and T: Move the item to the top
- Alt-D, Ctrl-D and B: Move the item to the bottom
Viewing Results
- Ctrl + R: Toggle the Run Controller on and off
- Shft + R: Reset Scale on a Chart
- Ctrl+Shft+R: Export results
- Ctrl + Shift + S: Open the Table Result Display Precision
Viewing a Distribution Summary
- Ctrl + Shft + T: Toggle between the Distribution Summary View and the Chart View
- Ctrl+Shft+B: Display confidence bounds on the CDFs and PDFs
Viewing a 3D Scatter Plot
- Ctrl+D: Toggles the drop lines on and off.
- Ctrl+S: Toggles between a 3D scatter plot and a 2D scatter plot.
- Ctrl+P: Affects the way in which the 3D chart is rotated. If it is toggled on, all of the data is shown as you rotate the image. If it is toggled off (the default), only the cube surrounding the data is shown as you rotate the image.
Navigating Containers
- Alt-Left: Moves back to previously viewed Container
- Alt-Right: Moves forward (only active if you have already moved back
- Alt-Home: Moves up to the model root
- Alt-Up or Alt-PgUp: Moves up one level
Reliability Causal Analysis
- Ctrl+N: Jump to the next false node in the tree
- Ctrl+P: Jump to the previous false node
- Ctrl+A: Expand all branches of the state analysis tree
Manipulating Vector and Matrix Chart
- Ctrl + S: toggles between a bar chart and line chart.
- Ctrl + T: adds additional entries showing the totals of all the rows and columns for the matrix (as well as the total of all the items in the matrix).
- Ctrl + W: increases the width of the bars in a bar chart.
- Ctrl-Shft+W: decreases the width of the bars in a bar chart.
- F6: increases the depth of the bars.
- Shft+F6: decreases the depth of the bars.
- F7: increases the vertical inclination from which the chart is viewed.
- Shft+F7: decreases the vertical inclination from which the chart is viewed.
- F8: rotates the chart to the left.
- Shft+F8: rotates the chart to the right.
- Ctrl+M: Switches between a normal bar chart and a stacked bar chart.
- Ctrl+P: Affects the way in which the 3D chart is rotated. If it is toggled on, all of the data is shown as you rotate the image. If it is toggled off (the default), only the cube surrounding the data is shown as you rotate the image.
