Chaotic Behavior in Population Dynamics
This model illustrates perhaps the most famous example of chaotic behavior: that exhibited by the ´logistic difference´ equation to describe the growth of a population subject to a carrying capacity. At low growth rates, the population stabilizes fairly rapidly. As the growth rate increases, the population oscillates periodically, and at high growth rates, chaotically.
